March Sister Spotlight

Elizabeth Leonard

What is something that your family likes to do to spend time together?
Movie night!  Pop some corn, grab the blow-up bed, eat pizza and watch movies in the living room.

What is one of your favorite hobbies?
I like to craft and read.  I read slowly and don't get to craft often, but it's a good way to relax me.

What is one of your favorite things about living in Germany?
The opportunities!  For my husband at his job and for our family seeing the world!  We've knocked a few bucket list items off the list since being here so we've been lucky!  It also helped me work out of my comfort cooking zones when I can't just call and order pizza.

My favorite flavor cookie is...
Pink cookies from Utah.  The Grandma cookies!  My favorites and I miss them!

Please share a favorite scripture story.
Noah is my favorite.  His story is amazing!  To trust so fully in our Heavenly Father is awesome!

Please share a goal on your life's to-do list.
Probably the best one I have is to have an all out Disney vacation with my husband.  No kids.  It sounds nerdy, but Disney is my happy place!

What is something that your family likes to do to spend time together?
We really like to go on hikes together.  Now that all of us can actually walk it is fun.

What is one of your favorite hobbies?
I love to read.  I read between two and five books a week.  It's why I have so few friends.

What is one of your favorite things about living in Germany?
I love that everything is always an adventure.  Even grocery shopping.  And something as easy as asking for directions becomes such a triumph when you finish it.

My favorite flavor cookie is...
Chocolate chip cookies.  Natasha Hansen's are apparently the best.  Prove it Natasha.  Prove it.

Please share a favorite scripture story.
Just lately I love the story of the Israelites crossing the river Jordan.  God said he'd part the water, like he did the Red Sea, but he said before he id so they had to step into the river first.  They literally had to get their feet we first before they saw the miracle.  I feel this is true for most of my interaction with the gospel.  I have to take that first step of faith before I see miracles.

Please share a goal on your life's to-do list.
I plan on learning Latin because dead languages are cool.
